So I just grabbed all the color ink pens I could find.  Of course there was your black and red bic pens, along with a purple one.  I know the image looks a little grusome, but its just a comic book cover of Spawn.

I started to play with drawing in colored ink (like a purple Bic pen) and then backing it up with color pencils.

Spiderman / Venom

This was during my experimentation with ink and markers.  I found that I could get a high contrast by drawing the base with an ink pen,  and then adding water color or marker on top.

Nick Fury

So this is the “white” Nick Fury, not to get it confused with the “black” Nick Fury form the movies staring Samuel L. Jackson. I think I drew this as a junior in high school.
